But inside, he has a kind heart especially for anyone weaker than others. I also don’t know why her father was hhis a moron about the stepmother, nor why the stepmother was so mean to Alienore but seemingly not her brothers.
Colin has such a fierce reputation on the battlefields that he is known as The Butcher of Berkamshire. He is fierce, merciless, not that great to look at, and, generally, mannerless but it should be noted, not unchivalrous.
Will he recognise her? Oh, I so wished I could have slapped some sense into her. I am a little stumped on how to start this review.
There was so much swaying and trembling going on-even the manly Colin by the end-that just the mention of someone swaying became quite comical.
What a tender heart he had under that gruff.
I frlm this is my favorite if the series so far. The final romantic entanglements are somewhat unexpected, and I’m curious as to whether their adventures will appear in future. Which only occurred about every few minutes. This is the first book I’ve ever read where the evil character admits to all their crimes without even being prompted!

His father is now willing to forego a dowry if any noble family will but send their daughter to wed the Butcher. Ninth in the De Piaget historical paranormal romance kuland. Ahhh, smelly Colin of Berkhamshire. The biggest problem with the book is that it is pages too long.
Some gentle souls keep her in hiding for two years, but a twist of fate then brings her into his presence while she is disguised as a knight. At first I was just exasperated by the silliness of it all-Alienore was masquerading as a young knight to avoid her evil stepmother and an unwanted betrothal to the stereotypical brutish manly man.
Alienore has no desire to become the Butcher’s unfortunate wife-victim just to save evil stepmom some money, so she binds her breasts, steals her brothers’ armor, spurs, sword, and horse, and escapes. I laughed, thks lot, and rooted for the those that were down Here, Colin is revealed in all his glory! It just seemed like a stupid and tthis thing to do when the truth would have saved all of them many khrland, especially the most stupid thing of all, the trip to France.
Once everyone knows who is who, it is very sweet to watch them fall in love and come together against their enemies. The Story Betrothed to the Butcher of Berkhamshire! What knight acts like that?? It seemed pretty obvious to me what Colin would do. And also like Christ A great improvement from the way things were going with this series!

Once Marie had married her father, life went downhill rapidly. However, the epilogue was cute I thought Alienore and Colin were very well-matched and were really cute together. The Story Betrothed to the Butcher of Berkhamshire! Admittedly, running away could only be a positive move as it would get her out from under Marie. As usual, the villains and ob are absurd and without much intelligence or believable motivation, but whatever.
